Lazy Luke managed to be on time looking very smart and fully equipped for the wedding of the year. Even when Mrs Lazy Luke (to be) arrived and under immense pressure, Lazy Luke did not crack, managing to get those “I do” words out – at the right time & in the right order!
The evening guests arrived… L’il G and the Sargeant pulled into the car park, but it was hard not to notice the abundance of female legs, handbags, shoes, dresses etc hanging out of Muttleys car. Just for a moment it was thought the Stanton sisters had turned up, but alas no, it was the WAGS of Messrs Muttley and Gravel Slag, and the festivities were in full swing (DVD’s available on request!).
Lazy Luke was up first, hitting the floor with his “life” opponent – “The Trouble ‘n Strife”, she was graceful around the court in a dress that would have the eldest Stanton sister turning green with envy. A couple of decent twirls from LL had the crowd roaring and in the end a draw was considered a fair result, the game would continue late into the night (we hope) but I couldn’t tell you who came first. If anyone knows the result, please let us know.
Gravel Slag was up next against the fast feet of another Rob (Lazy Luke’s brother). It was the dance off to the Backdoor…no…er..Backstreet Boys. It was a one sided affair but the crowd was going wild. Gravel Slag busting some serious moves, I think the ghosting move will catch on around the dancefloors of the country soon, but it was the nimble footwork of his opponent that won the crowd over.
Mac was primed and ready to take on his opponent for the night…. the bar. The bar might as well have not turned up; it was embarrassing, with Mac wiping the floor with some accurate arm bending…and also licking the floor to collect the occasional spillage. Rumours of illness with Mac were reported on the way home. Was it the gallon or two of lager or the fish sandwiches?
As Guns n Roses came on the stereo, it was L’il G’s time to hit the stage, right at home in the bright lights, air guitars and fine young fillies. Although the moves were good, L’il G still went home alone and so this must be considered a loss. A bigger perm, spandex and cowboy boots may be needed to turn the tides next time round.
Throughout the night Muttley was seen attempting to pull some moves on the floor.. Some good, some bad, some awful… nevertheless Muttley held on until the very last dance, finishing an Irish jig with one of the ushers.
The Sargeant and the Announcer never took the floor, but were seen hanging around offering advice to one and all.
Overall a win to Lazy Luke and a loss to all the others with hangovers on the Sunday morning.
